Austin Govella put together a nice little round up of best practices for using JavaScript:

  • Separate Behavior from Content and Presentation
  • Provide progressive enhancement
  • Code for flexibility
  • Alter content as little as possible
  • Document output, parameters, and dependencies

It’s a nice succinct summation of important ideas.
